Don't want to "bug" you out with this social media post, but the Buffalo radar appears to be picking up on a large area of bugs flying over Lake Erie this afternoon.

The rest of this afternoon will be breezy but rain-free for Western NY, but an area of rain will move into the area tonight. Rain will start across the Niagara Frontier 8 to 10 p.m. this evening, but won't reach the Eastern Lake Ontario region until after midnight.

Showers will continue east of Lake Ontario today, especially across the higher terrain. There will be a brief break in showers across western NY, with a mix of sun and clouds today. Slightly below normal for June 8 with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Another slightly cooler than normal day for Saturday. Unsettled weather will focus mainly east of Lake Ontario through the day, and then additional showers and thunderstorms enter Western New York Saturday evening. #nywx
