First, you have to make the message editable, then you can copy or paste in it:

1. In the email message, on the Message tab, in the Mail section, select  Actions > Edit message.

2. Select the text or picture you'd like to copy, or place the cursor where you want to paste something. 

3. Select the Format Text tab on the ribbon, then select  Copy or  Paste.
