In order to maintain a comfortable viewing experience, you don't want to have a vertical tilt of more than 15 degrees. Anything steeper than that and heads will be craning too far up to get a good viewing angle of the TV. For horizontal viewing, Marc recommends no more than a 40-degree angling.
